Matt Vahue serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Integrator of Financial Growth Partners, leading the firm’s strategic direction alongside his business partner, William Crossan. Together, they are transforming a historically traditional profession into a dynamic, modern platform for growth and impact — one defined by agility, purpose, and human connection.
Under Matt’s leadership, Financial Growth Partners has emerged as a national leader in financial services, guided by its core purpose of Advancing Human Capital. He brings a distinctive blend of strategic focus, relational leadership, and competitive drive to every facet of the firm. FGP’s 10-year vision is bold: 500 advisors and associates serving 500,000 households across the country — a goal that Matt helps shape and execute every day through clarity, collaboration, and discipline.
The firm operates on the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), where Matt serves as Integrator — the connective force that turns vision into traction. He ensures alignment across people, processes, and purpose, keeping the organization moving forward in rhythm and in culture. As both a Relator, Orchestrator, and Driver, Matt naturally builds systems, unites teams, and accelerates meaningful results.
Matt’s leadership journey has been defined by consistent performance and a commitment to excellence. Before becoming CEO of FGP, he served as Executive Vice President at Alliance Advisory Group, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the firm’s footprint across Upstate New York — earning multiple Presidential Citation Awards with Guardian Life Insurance Company for leadership and growth. Prior to that, he was Managing Director at Principal Financial Group’s Upstate New York Business Center, earning three invitations to the prestigious Management Achievement Round Table for his results and leadership.
A respected voice in both business and community, Matt was honored at age 30 with the Rochester Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 award — a recognition that continues to reflect his enduring leadership today. He remains actively involved in advancing organizations and causes he believes in, including the George Mason University Patriot Club Advisory Board, Girl Scouts of the Nation’s Capital, The Kennedy Center, George Washington’s Mount Vernon, and the Gravely Elementary PTO.
In addition to his work at FGP, Matt has joined Campfire Culture — an executive coaching and business consulting organization founded by Will Crossan — as its Integrator, helping connect vision to execution and expand its impact. Through Campfire Culture, Matt leverages his experience as a Certified Motivation Code™ Coach to help leaders and teams align purpose, potential, and performance.
Matt earned his degree from St. John Fisher University in Rochester, NY, and holds both the Chartered Leadership Fellow (CLF) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations from The American College of Financial Services.
Outside of work, Matt and his wife, Angela — a top financial advisor and leader in her own right — live in Northern Virginia with their daughter, Misha. Their family values adventure and connection, enjoying both international and domestic travel together. Matt is also a passionate sports fan, rooting for the Buffalo Bills, Washington Commanders, Washington Nationals, and his beloved George Mason Patriots, where he is a season ticket holder and proud member of the Green Coat Society.
A native of Canandaigua, NY, Matt draws strength from his roots and his early experience as part of the 1999 New York State Championship football team — an origin story that shaped his lifelong commitment to loyalty, focus, and excellence. Today, he continues to lead with the same energy and intention, bringing people together to do meaningful work, move fast, and make a lasting impact.
