Thomas Lannan joined Ashford Advisors in June 2022 as a Recruiting Director/Broker in the Memphis market, after a successful 40+ years in the marketing and advertising industry. Over the years, he and his advertising teams have received hundreds of recognitions, of which his most cherished was being selected for three national Clio Awards. Additionally, Thomas was selected as Rookie of the Year while working with New Your Life in 2015 and Agent of the Year in 2016. In his role as a recruiter at Ashford, Thomas utilizes his career experiences to recognize and recruit outstanding professionals to join the Ashford family.
Although raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, Thomas has made his home in Collierville, Tennessee for the past 20 years. He attributes much of his success in life and business to his father’s inspiring influence. His father was a man of integrity, high character, and honesty, which Thomas values still today as characteristics of the utmost importance in life and the financial industry.
Thomas knows first-hand how important one’s financial professional is to their family’s financial status, especially when life presents a crisis. Having been diagnosed with throat cancer in 2017, Thomas proudly shares that he is now cancer free and a walking example of the benefits of long-term disability insurance, waiver of premium, * and convertible term life insurance.
In his spare time, you can find Thomas spending time with his family. He has been married to his wife, Katherine, for 34 years and they have two wonderful children – Patrick, a 32-year-old US Marine sergeant who now works with a canine explosive detection unit in Memphis, and Lauren, a 25-year-old magna cum laude graduate of Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL where she played on the nation’s #1 D2 women's soccer team.
