Shane Stromei

Shane Stromei is an Associate Principal Owner and Financial Advisor at Ashford Advisors and a member of the firm’s Leadership Team, where he oversees recruiting and development for all locations. He offers more than 25 years of proven experience in the financial services industry.

A committed member of the Huntsville community since 2011. After meeting with the Ashford leadership team, Shane quickly recognized the firm as the ideal long-term home for his practice. He was drawn to the opportunity to build upon Ashford’s strong legacy by establishing a meaningful local presence. Recognizing the momentum of downtown development and significant regional business growth, he led the initiative to open Ashford’s office on the historic town square in Downtown Huntsville. He has since expanded Ashford’s regional footprint by opening a second office in Chattanooga, Tennessee, further enhancing the firm’s ability to serve clients throughout the Tennessee Valley.

Shane began his career in financial services in 2000 with New York Life in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 2003, he was promoted to Partner and relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, to help lead a newly established territory under the guidance of his mentor. After eight successful years in Nashville, Shane was promoted in 2011 to Managing Partner of the Tennessee Valley region, overseeing Huntsville and Florence, Alabama, and Chattanooga, Tennessee. During his tenure, he transformed the company’s smallest territory into a thriving regional presence, growing the team from 10 agents to more than 60 advisors across multiple offices.

Originally from New Mexico, Shane was raised in the Albuquerque area and later a working cattle ranch in southern New Mexico. He attended the University of New Mexico as a student-athlete, competing in both men’s swimming and men’s volleyball, and earned a double major in Political Science and Spanish. Early exposure to the financial services industry through his father’s 25-year career helped shape Shane’s passion for the profession and his long-term commitment to serving clients.

Shane and his wife, Katie, met in Nashville and were married in 2008. They are the proud parents of two children, Isabella and Soren. Shane serves on the Board of Directors for Madison Academy and is the Youth Soccer Director. He and his family are active members of their church, where he also serves as a Deacon. Katie is a pharmacist at Huntsville Hospital.
