Paul Cheek joined Ashford Advisors in 2023 as the Director of Business Development for the Memphis, TN office. His focus will be recruiting and coaching new advisors. Paul holds a Bachelor of Professional Studies from the University of Memphis and is a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served as a Paramedic for Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Paul brings a wealth of experience in areas of healthcare consulting and health information technologies. Having been a healthcare consultant for over 20 years, Paul knows how to navigate the many levels of business and forge relationships by helping providers use technology and deliver quality care. The experiences and mentorships Paul has received, are what facilitated, and developed his drive to serve others before self, thus helping him become a trusted holistic resource for his clients.
Paul’s greatest accomplishments has been his ability to fast track into management in the financial industry while with New York Life and being selected as Partner of the Year in 2022. He noted that the turning point of his career came from being a part of the cutting-edge electronic health record boom, which allowed him to dive into Business Development through inside and outside sales management.
Paul’s favorite quote comes from Winston Churchill, “You will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks.” Thus, supporting the philosophy of Paul’s greatest influencer, his father, who was someone that never gave up, and was inspirational in Paul’s spiritual development.
Paul and his wife, Tanya reside in Memphis, TN with their three children, Noah, and a set of Boy-Girl twins: Eli and Aniston. They attend Bellevue Baptist Church. For over a decade, Paul has been a basketball coach in the Bartlett Community where he serves and leads youth to the love of Christ through sports.
