Matt Meurer joined Ashford Advisors in 2002. Over the years, Matt has worked in various positions including Investments, Brokerage, Marketing, Recruiting, and most recently managing the agency finances as the Agency Finance Director. Today, he serves as the Agency Control Officer (ACO), a position that is responsible for compliance supervision of the firm’s daily activities. Matt is a member of the Ashford Management team, setting the tone for agency sales practices.
Matt received a degree in Industrial Design from Auburn University in 2001. He won several awards for projects completed in his major. After graduating, Matt went to work for Simmers Capital Management.
Matt is a member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church and is a member of the Knights of Columbus, a service organization that does work with the church and hosts fundraisers to provide for those less fortunate.
Though born in Louisville, Kentucky, Matt grew up in Mobile, Alabama. He and his wife, Lauren, live in Duluth, Georgia and have two daughters, Annie and Emma, who go to Notre Dame Academy. His pastimes include spending time at the lake, biking, Auburn football, and coaching his daughter’s softball team.
