Jessica Callihan joined Ashford Advisors in October 2023 as an Administrative Assistant and Marketing Coordinator, providing administrative support while also contributing to the firm’s marketing team.
Prior to joining Ashford, Jessica built a distinguished twenty-two-year career in education. She taught a wide range of grades, from elementary through high school special education, across four states. In addition, she served as an Instructional Facilitator, designing and delivering professional development for special education teachers while providing coaching and mentorship at the district level. She also established the role of Georgia Southern University Athletics’ first Learning Specialist, where her efforts contributed to the program achieving its highest cumulative GPA in school history and supported the football team in securing the Southern Conference Championship.
Jessica began her professional journey by serving four years in the United States Air Force as an administrative specialist in Japan. Following her military service, she attended Radford University in Virginia, competing as a Division I volleyball player and graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Education, concentrating in Special Education.
She considers her greatest accomplishment to be raising her two sons, Caleb and Macoy. Caleb has recently graduated and entered the workforce, while Macoy is pursuing his studies at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. Jessica is also proud of her contributions as an educator, particularly in helping students with disabilities build confidence and achieve academic growth. Notably, one of the schools where she taught was recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School, due in part to the progress of her students with special needs.
Jessica and her husband, Chad, reside in Greenville, South Carolina. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family golfing, hiking, paddleboarding, playing pickleball, attending concerts, and traveling.
