With a lifelong exposure to the financial services industry, Chip Busbey has developed a passion for positively influencing people's lives through comprehensive estate, retirement, and investment planning. His father, Howard C. Busbey, Sr., CLU®, a veteran of over 40 years in the industry, served as an exemplary role model.
Since joining Ashford Advisors in 1982, Chip has adopted a macroeconomic perspective in his planning approach. His clientele primarily includes professionals, business owners, and high net-worth individuals. He finds immense satisfaction in aiding individuals to achieve their dreams and goals through the implementation of sound financial strategies.
Chip holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Georgia, obtained in 1981. He also earned the Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designation from the American College. In 1998, he was honored with the prestigious Holcomb T. Green Award from Ashford Advisors, an accolade that recognizes the most outstanding advisor each year. He has also been inducted multiple times into Guardian’s Disability Income Inner Circle, a group acknowledged for their expertise in Disability Income protection. His other professional achievements include multiple qualifications for the Leaders Club for top producers and several Centurion awards.
Chip and his wife, Bethany, both hail from Atlanta and are proud parents of two sons, Clay and Wesley. They are active members of the Cherokee Town & Country Club, where Chip has served on the Board of Directors and various other committees. Both Chip and Bethany are enthusiastic tennis players, with Chip being a past club champion in the open singles and doubles at Cherokee. He has also served the Wesley Woods Foundation as a board member and chairman of the Development Committee.
