Why Do You Work?

Why Do You Work?

June 26, 2017

“The two most important days of your life are the day you were born and the day you discover why you were born.” – Mark Twain

Do you work for "just a paycheck" or do you work for something more, something more meaningful and impactful?

People are generally in careers and jobs that are essentially just a means to an end. They have a job that provides a paycheck and not much more. They show up right at the morning gun, get their immediate tasks done, maximize their lunch hour, mess around on the internet until 4:58, then when nobody's looking, hit the door. Sound like you? What if I told you there was a way to get more than that? A way to actually look FORWARD to going to work every day, so much so, that holidays and vacations sneak up on you because you weren’t counting down the days… All of this is possible! It simply takes you doing one thing: Be engaged with your “why.”

Your “why” is your mission. It’s the deep-rooted, psychological reason or purpose for why you do what you do. It’s what drives you. It’s also one of the things that intrigued me most and one of the reasons most people are attracted to this career.

This career provides the opportunity to fully develop and drive something 100% yours (your business) from a place of purpose. Are you passionate and highly motivated to serve and help others (as a lot of people out there are)? Well, this career gives you that opportunity. It gives the opportunity for you to truly find AND live your “why” EVERYDAY! Especially if you discover that your “why” or mission directly correlates to being an entrepreneur and serving in a way of helping others. This could be a career that fulfills ALL your dreams and gives you the ability to live out your mission.

When I realized that this career allowed me to fulfill my purpose, my practice expanded even more so that I didn’t eliminate people based on their income or job title. I engage with anybody and everybody that truly wants a coach financially and feels as though they are in a better position with me involved as opposed to without me.

Once you wholeheartedly accept your “why,” you realize that you’re not just doing a job. When you can align your personal purpose with your professional purpose, you know you’re in the career you were meant to live. You’re creating a career that goes well beyond your office hours. You’re experiencing your purpose in everything that you do and it impacts everyone around you.

We look for people who know their “why,” their motivation, and help them leverage that to succeed.

So if you’re looking for a job, don’t talk to me. But if you’re looking for a career, let’s talk.
