“After many years of trying to balance a successful career with the needs of my family, I had to reassess everything the moment my in-laws became ill and were no longer able to care for themselves. At that time, I felt less than successful and my heightened stress levels began to impact my own health. For the sake of my family and well-being, I retired early from my career to focus full-time on mine and my aging family members’ health. During this time, I became incredibly involved in their legal and financial matters including probate, wills, estate planning, Power of Attorney, home care, and choosing the right assisted living facility. While I was not professionally trained in these areas, I know my next vocation would involve helping others in any way that I could.

Sheri Shearer has been a Georgia resident since 1979. Sheri graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. For more than 25 years, she was a corporate training professional in the transportation, financial, and telecommunications industries developing national training programs, with a focus on customer experience skills. She enjoys traveling with her husband, Jim.
