Covid has affected all of our lives, but seniors seem to have taken a direct hit. From health concerns, to loss of connection with family and friends. It's been a tough road. Listen to our latest radio show for some tips on how retirees can gain perspective during this trying time.
Turn off the News!
The first thing retirees can do is turn off the news. News these days is increasingly divisive and negative. News media needs eyeballs for ratings and the best way to do that is through doom and gloom. Real life is not nearly as negative as the news portrays it to be. It’s not that there isn’t hardship in the world today, it’s just not nearly as negative as the news would have you believe.
Plan & Purpose
The second thing retirees can do is make sure they have a plan for their money and a well-rounded purpose for their retirement. If you have a plan for your money you’re not just reacting to what’s going on, you have the opportunity to be proactive. This allows you to make well informed decisions as things are happening, not months or years after.
A good plan is great, but you also need a purpose in retirement. Find a good balance between finding rest and impacting others. Impacting others is one of the best ways to find fulfillment in retirement,
