Jack is Aviance’s Chief Investment Officer. He oversees the firm’s economic and market perspective as well as the overall investment platform. He believes investors benefit overtime by consistently keeping risk in perspective while ensuring assets are allocated in investments that benefit from a combination of fundamental improvements, income, and price adjustments.

He has been a research analyst since the mid-1990s and managing investment portfolios since 2005. His research has been published in multiple peer-reviewed professional journals, such as the Journal of Financial Planning where his work on "An Application of Asset-Liability Management for Financial Planners" provides insights for investors and advisors alike on how to manage risk. He was the founder of Laureola Asset Management, a private investment firm that merged with Aviance Capital Partners. He was a Director for Prudential’s Strategic Investment Research Group, managed a due diligence team at Smith Barney, and was a sell-side analyst for UBS. Mr. Brown earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a past president of the CFA Society of Naples.

In addition to his role at Aviance, Jack is an adjunct professor of economics at Florida Gulf Coast University. Jack and his family live in Bonita Springs.
